Land Clearing in Georgetown, Texas
Selective cedar clearing on a 5-acre Georgetown, Texas property in two days. The owner's goal was saving his oak trees, so we used our CAT 299 to pull the small cedar out from under and around them one at a time and piled it for burning.
This 5-acre property outside Georgetown city limits had small cedar growing up under and around its oak trees, including along the fence line. The owner's goal was to save his oaks. We worked the property with our CAT 299, pulling the cedar out from beneath and around the oaks one at a time and leaving the oaks themselves standing. We piled the cedar for burning. The job took two days. The property also had plenty of large rock, which is common on Georgetown's west side. Because it is outside city limits, no city tree permit was needed. The result is open ground under the oaks, with the cedar that had been crowding them gone.
