Rock Removal and Sod Prep in Spicewood, Texas

Rock Removal and Sod Prep in Spicewood, Texas

Acreage

1.5 Acres

Timeline

3 Days

Two neighboring Spicewood, Texas lots, 1.5 acres total, prepped for sod in three days. On one lot we removed old stumps, mulch left behind by a previous clearing job, and rock. On the other we removed the rock, leaving both yards smooth and clean so the sod could root into the soil.

The owners of these two neighboring Spicewood lots both wanted the same thing: yards ready for sod. Sod needs smooth ground without rock or loose debris underneath so it can root into the soil. The first lot had been cleared before by someone else, and that job left old stumps and a layer of mulch behind, along with rock. We pulled the stumps, cleared out the leftover mulch, and removed the rock. The second lot just needed the rock taken out. We worked both lots with our CAT 275 and grapple, then ran our Harley rake over the ground to pick up the rock and leave a smooth finish. The rock stayed on site. Both lots, 1.5 acres total, took three days and were finished in June 2026. The oaks were left standing, and both yards were left clean and ready for sod.
