Lake Travis Lot Clearing in Spicewood, Texas
Half an acre cleared in one day on a lot right on Lake Travis in Spicewood, Texas. The owners wanted to mow without popping tires on thorns or hitting rock, so we cleared the mesquite, huisache, cedar, prickly pear, and river rock, then chainsawed a trail down to the lake so they could reach their dock.
This half-acre lot sits right on Lake Travis in Spicewood. It was grown up with mesquite, huisache, cedar, and prickly pear, with river rock across the ground. The owners wanted to mow the lot without popping tires on thorns or worrying about hitting rock, and they wanted a way down to the lake for the dock they put in afterward. We used our CAT 299 and industrial grapple to clear the mesquite, huisache, and prickly pear, and hauled it off along with the other debris. We mulched the cedar with our Prinoth mulching head, then ran our Harley rake over the ground to pick up the river rock and leave it smooth enough to mow. The slope down to the water was too steep for equipment, so we chainsawed a trail down to the lake by hand so the owners could reach their new dock. The job took one day in June 2025.

What the Customer Said
“I hired Grounded Land Services to clear a 50 ft by 300 ft path through heavily wooded, sloping terrain that was inundated with Huisache and Prickly Pear. Walking that area before was a miserable experience and now it's a beautiful stroll on my property! Logan's attention to detail and especially the cleanup has my neighbors asking me for his business card.”
